Develop the program into a consistent, respected, well disciplined,
skilled program where players are self-motivated to be successful,
respect the game of basketball, and build team unity amongst all high
school teams as well as with the middle school feeder coaches and
players grades 7 - 12. Have a plan for coach and player program
development and consistent pre-season, in-season, and off-season
skill and workout plans.
Responsibilities -
Lead, organize, and oversee all facets of the girls basketball program including working with
the middle school coaches and players grades 7 - 12. Develop a
program manual that outlines the expectations of all coaches and
players and all aspects of the program year round. The head coach is
responsible for all planning, scheduling, practice plans, year round
workouts, parent meetings, equipment order and inventory,
transportation, booster club, team meals, team banquet, and assistant
coaches evaluations.
Position Requirements - (Must complete application at
Region 11 ESC)
Texas teacher certified in a core subject area - (no P.E.
or Health)
Minimum of 3-5 years of successful 3A, 4A, or 5A
coaching experience and/or 5A varsity assistant who can demonstrate
they have had clear duties and responsibilities similar to a head
coach.
Prior basketball playing experience at the collegiate
level preferred
CDL License, CPR/First Aid/AED certified, NFHS
Fundamentals of Coaching certificate, UIL- RCP Rules Compliance

Job Description:
·
The Assistant
Director will be a full time position at the TAPPS office in
Salado. In addition to the
daily hours of 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, the position requires working
many Saturdays throughout the year in conjunction with TAPPS
activities and meetings.
·
The position
requires travel to the host sites for TAPPS activities.
·
The position
requires being able to lift 50 to 100 pounds while setting up for
events.
·
Each event
requires planning, organization and on site management. The Assistant Director will work
with the Director and activity leadership to prepare for and run
the event.
·
The position
will require providing guidance to all stakeholders in the areas of
policy, governance, planning and preparation.
·
The position’s
salary and benefits are negotiable.
